The pediatric surgeons at St. Louis Children’s Hospital are dedicated to providing compassionate care and advanced treatments in a child-friendly environment. Among the conditions treated by surgeons are congenital anomalies and diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, abdomen, chest, head, neck, thyroid and parathyroid glands. In addition, expert care is provided for children with cancer, trauma and burns.
Our pediatric surgeons have special expertise in treating congenital conditions – offering prenatal counseling as well as surgical and follow-up care. Surgeon-in-Chief Brad Warner, MD, is a leading expert in the treatment of short-gut syndrome requiring surgical procedures to lengthen the intestine or to improve its function.
